He was in the "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" attacking trio of Portuguesa (alongside Leivinha and Servílio) where he played for fifteen years; was in Corinthians' attacking duo with Rivellino; and North American champion playing for the Toronto Metros-Croatia with Eusébio.
